Second place: "The Golden Path,"

Greene says: "The image is alive with energy. A visual treat for the viewer is finding the lone tree in the background that glows from the sun reflecting off its bare trunk."

Third place: "Metamorphosis," by Carol Navarro

Greene says: "The view may spend many moments wandering through the image before seeing the holdy outlined butterfly. The contrast in sharpness through an effective use of depth of field adds to the dimension of the image."
